What We Do

Fees and Payment Options

Payment Options

The Debt Doctors offer affordable payment options to our clients. Part of our service is helping you develop a plan to pay our fees by advising you on what you should and shouldn’t pay. You can retain The Debt Doctors for as little as $100. Once you pay the minimum retainer, The Debt Doctors will help you manage your creditors and be available for legal advice and pre-petition planning. During this time, you can set up weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payments. Once you have provided The Debt Doctors with the full balance of your attorneys’ fees, filing fees, and all requested information, we will prepare your petition and file your case.

We accept cash, debit payments, ACH transfers, money orders, cashier’s checks, or a credit card from a friend or family member who is not filing.

Fees

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

Attorneys’ fees for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy generally range from $1,000 – $5,000 in most cases. These fees do not include the filing fee for the bankruptcy court or any additional fees. Services will include your initial consultation, legal advice throughout the process, creditor management, petition preparation and review, case filing, and representation at one meeting of creditors.

Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Attorneys’ fees for a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy are generally billed on an hourly basis. Chapter 11 cases are generally very complex and fees will vary on a case-by-case basis.

Chapter 12 Bankruptcy

Attorneys’ fees for a Chapter 12 Bankruptcy generally require a retainer of $2500, and from there fees are assessed on a case-by-case basis. The client will be responsible for all costs and filing fees.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

Attorneys’ fees for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy normally range from $4,000 – $10,000, over time. The client will generally be responsible for paying only a portion of the fee prior to filing. The remainder of those fees will be paid through your Chapter 13 Plan. The attorneys’ fees do not include the filing fee for the bankruptcy court or any other costs. Services will include your initial interview, legal advice throughout the process, creditor management, petition preparation and review, plan preparation and review, case filing, representation at one meeting of creditors, periodic review of your case through discharge, and any hearings or conciliation conferences prior to plan confirmation.
